Surviving The South Beach Diet Phase One


South Beach diet is a short-term diet or "FAD" diet where you will see quick results, and then get all your weight back. That way changes the way you eat for a lifetime. However, as with any change there is an adjustment period that will be difficult for you. The South Beach Diet, this adjustment period is the first phase, which will have to take two weeks to learn how to remove all harmful carbohydrates and fats from your diet. This will involve a lot of foods that you like, such as fatty cuts of meat, whole milk, all alcohol, all the desserts and just about any kind of starch you've come to love! Phase One of them is difficult, but once you're above it will be healthier (and thinner) for years to come. The key, of course, has survived the hard part, phase. Here are some tips to get through the South Beach diet phase.

Start Timer: By the end of the first phase, it probably will not crave carbs and bad fats any longer, but during the first days or weeks, and will. Instead of thinking that this is how you will be eating for the rest of his life, counting down the days until the end of his two weeks. If you are thinking that at the end of two weeks means that you can eat something you love, it will be easier for you to put down the candy bar instead of eating. And when you reach the end? You do not want to be here anyway candy!

Keep bad food away from home: Even if you have one in your home to the South Beach diet, everyone else will have to lift and assist you in the first two weeks so it is not "bad" food is there to tempt you. Before you start the South Beach diet, get rid of all the bad foods from your home (especially sweets, sodas and starch, which is the most damage). If you have a bag of candy in the cupboard, it will be a hundred times more difficult to resist eating, but if you must leave your home and go to the store to buy candy when you start to crave it. Set yourself up for success no candy or any kind of "forbidden" phase of food in the house during the first two weeks.

as a support system: You're going to need help to survive phase. This means not only people who will make sure that no bad food in the house. It also means that people will listen to you when you're struggling, and, most importantly, who will keep you accountable for what they eat every day. At best, you will have friends who are doing the diet and can be each other's support system. If you're flying solo on the South Beach Diet, however, have a friend who you can call every night, who will talk through what you ate that day and any fights that you have.

Once you make it through the South Beach diet phase one, you'll be on your way to success smoothly. However, surviving the first stage is the biggest challenge in your diet! Follow our tips above, though, and you'll increase your chances of success not only for the first two weeks, but in creating healthier for the rest of your life!
